B8 suspension lift kit with overload rear suspension is phenomenal. Had no issue with the allingment. 2018 Forester xt.
This kit is stellar, it comes with everything you need to do the job. It even came with lower strut camber bolts for the front, even though I didn't end up needing them.
My starting measurements were 31" in the rear, 30" in the front (ground to fender arch)
After the lift, I'm sitting at 33" in the rear, and 32.5" in the front. I'm sure the springs will settle a bit in the front a bit.
I opted for the Overload springs in the rear; unloaded the vehicle feels a bit truck-like, but with my fully loaded bike rack on and other cargo, the stiffness dissipates.
The on road ride characteristics are sporty. The turn in is sharp and responsive, and the brake and shift dive have reduced significantly.
The subframe spacer kit is the Bilstein supplied kit, and drops exactly 1", which is a great balance in my opinion– it's just enough to give additional differential clearance. It comes with rear brake line mount extenders too.
I torqued all the subframe bolts in the air, and let the car settle before torquing all the suspension knuckle bolts and shock mounts, and was able to keep my alignment pretty close. The rear camber is just a touch negative like stock.
The front struts were able to achieve 0° camber by almost maxing out the stock camber bolts towards positive camber, which is a neat because with a lot of spacer lifts you usually have too much positive camber with a max negative setting. So kudos to Bilstein for the right geometry adjustment.
All in all, this is a great kit. All the details are attended to as far as spring insulators and hardware. Excited to get this thing in the dirt!
I am curious if the overland spring rating is it considered sprung or unsprung. I'm currently running 235s and am in need of new overland style suspension. I plan on fabricating my own offroad bumpers front and rear with tire swing within the year. Would it be wise to go overland with adding some weight until I get those installed or would the ride be to harsh? Lmk any feedback is appreciated!

The spring rate is just a rating on the strength of the spring and is measured on a spring dyno, which tells you how much force the spring requires to be compressed 1".
With you planning to add off-road bumpers to the vehicle, we highly recommend the Overload springs, as the sport option will be too soft for the weight of the accessories you're looking to add to the vehicle.

This kit has MORE TRAVEL than the OEM setup?
I'm asking if it does more than just put the car 2" higher in the air like a spacer kit?
No it does not have more travel than the OEM setup.
Do either the Bilstein B6 Suspension Kit - Fits 2014-2018 Subaru Forester or Bilstein B8 Suspension Kit - Fits 2014-2018 Subaru Forester meet the manufacture, design, or sales for use on public streets and highways requirements? I need to know if this will cause my car to not pass NH state inspection or ability to be used on public roads?
Either kit has been tested thoroughly for on and off-road use. It does not affect any of the vehicles safety or features to preform so it should be okay. We do not have a certified certificate from anyone saying it passes X standards. Subaru is a multi million dollar company and spend millions getting these certificates. We cannot afford to do that level of certification. I would reccomend reaching out to your local government agency and consult with them to find what is and isn't allowed to be done.
