In August 2001, RalliTEK was founded by passionate Subaru enthusiasts with a simple but powerful idea: take real-world rally experience and turn it into performance solutions for everyday drivers. Twenty-five years later, that same idea still fuels everything we do.

This year marks RalliTEK’s 25th anniversary, and it’s more than just a milestone—it’s a celebration of the community, the cars, the miles, and the relentless pursuit of function-first performance.

From Rally Roots to the Street (2001–2006)

RalliTEK was born at a pivotal moment for Subaru enthusiasts in the United States. With deep roots in the regional and national rally scene, our founders understood that performance wasn’t just about numbers—it was about durability, balance, and confidence behind the wheel.

When the Subaru WRX debuted in the American market in 2001, enthusiasm exploded. RalliTEK responded by rapidly expanding its aftermarket offerings to meet the needs of this new wave of drivers. The products focused on enhancing power, handling, and appearance—always informed by real racing experience and designed for vehicles driven every day, not just on the track.

Joining Forces with IPD Volvo (2006–2013)

As RalliTEK continued to grow, so did its influence. Around the same time, IPD Volvo—an aftermarket performance powerhouse based in Portland, Oregon, since 1963—was looking to expand further into the automotive aftermarket.

IPD discovered a significant overlap: many Volvo owners were also Subaru owners. This led to the creation of a Subaru-focused division called Suby Solutions in 2002. During product development, IPD formed a close working relationship with RalliTEK, collaborating on suspension components and sharing technical expertise.

That partnership proved so successful that in 2006, Suby Solutions was dissolved and RalliTEK officially became part of IPD. This chapter brought expanded resources, broader distribution, and continued development of Subaru-focused performance parts.

A New Chapter with PREracing (2013–Present)

After several years with IPD, it became clear RalliTEK would thrive best with a company fully-immersed in Subaru performance. Performance Race Engineering, LLC (PREracing)—also based in Portland, OR—had opened its doors in 2002 and offered expert Subaru high-performance retail sales, service installation, and tuning. With hands-on motorsports experience and in-house manufacturing capabilities, PREracing was the perfect home for RalliTEK’s next evolution, and it was acquired by PREracing in mid-2013. 

Since the acquisition, PREracing has continued to develop the RalliTEK brand using regional stage rally car campaigns and the company's fleet of Subaru testing vehicles. This real-world testing environment ensures our products aren’t simply well-designed on paper—they’re pushed and proven through miles of daily driving, weekend off-roading, and the harshest racing conditions.

RalliTEK Today: Off-Road, Overland, and Uncompromising

Today, RalliTEK stands as a dedicated Subaru off-road and overland brand, focused on building the most functional and durable aftermarket accessories available.

Our approach is simple:

• All designs tested and verified, developed using our own fleet of company vehicles and tested using rigorous standards

• Built by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts who push their vehicles to the next level
