KYB Excel-G Shocks and Struts
KYB is the world's largest supplier of shocks and struts to new vehicle manufacturers, and the Excel-G is built on the same assembly lines. It uses the very same high quality components that together work to restore the vehicle's originally designed capabilities such as handling and stability. The Excel-G is a twin-tube gas hydraulic shock that consists of an inner working cylinder and an outer fluid reservoir. The shaft and piston force hydraulic fluid in and out of both, which dampens the vehicle's body movement. Two multi-stage valves of the shock work to provide better handling characteristics during virtually all driving conditions. The working cylinder that the piston works in is also very important, that's why the experts at KYB use extruded tubing which provides a positive seal and consistent performance.

This installs easily and can clearly feel the difference from the stock shocks/ strut. Ride is much better and can load the vehicle more for camping/ family trips

I bought these for my 22 Outback XT, I feel like the rear struts were saggy from not much past new, and I'm towing a camping trailer across the country soon. I just returned from my first camping trip with these struts/springs, it carried the load quite well, 300lb tongue weight. I'm very pleased, I'm looking forward to upgrading the front to these in due time.
Replaced Iron Man rear shocks with RalliTek so now my car looks like it’s lifted and is no longer lower in the back than in the front. Iron Man didn’t last very long at all about a year, wish I had went with RalliTek in the 1st place. Will be replacing the front struts with RalliTek as well! After replacing the rear shocks not only does it sit properly, I have no rattling at all except for the Iron Man’s in the front!
Easy to install and stopped the reared squat, still need to check the rear alignment but the self steering seems better
Put these on my 2020 Outback Premium to offset the sag from the factory installed receiver hitch I had put on along with what I carry for work and the outdoors. They worked exceptionally well. I also put the matching front struts on as well. With both sets, I noticed an improved ride quality and handling in my Outback. I cannot over emphasize how much better the ride and handling quality is or my overall satisfaction with the results after the modifications.
I replaced my OEM assembly for these at 130k mile. Make the car drives like new. These are probably the only minor lift struct assembly with unbeatable quality on the market. My mechanic kept telling me these are well assembled with quality parts. Go for this if the dealer is charging you too much for a pair of struct assembly.
We love our Our 2021 Subaru outback but the rear suspension was way too soft for pulling our 3,000 camper and gear. The rallitec rear loaded struts 1/2 inch lift helped a ton. much less squat and more stable.
Will these work on a 2022 Outback Wilderness?
These struts will not work on the Wilderness Models. However I will link below to our Strut Assemblies designed for your Wilderness!
Is this item fit for Subaru Outback wilderness 2024?
No these will not fit the WIlderness models. The Wilderness strut is different and unique. I linked the strut assembly kit we have for the wilderness models below.
