Bilstein B6 Shocks and Struts
Developed for a variety of applications, including sports cars, sedans, coupes, trucks, and SUVs, Bilstein performance shock absorbers and struts have been designed to provide improved handling and ride control without sacrificing comfort. Fade-free performance is achieved by using high gas pressure, monotube design with a large diameter shock body.
Bilstein's patented design allows the excessive heat from the oil to transfer to the outer surface of the shock body and dissipate more efficiently. The dividing piston also permits the oil to expand as heat builds, preventing aeration (foaming) and viscosity loss. This allows the shock to maintain full damping characteristics as temperatures rise.
The tube of a Bilstein gas pressure shock or strut is fabricated using a special extrusion method. This process achieves an extremely tight peak-to-valley tolerance and maintains consistent wall thickness. Bilstein's seamless monotube design provides superior tube strength while maximizing heat dissipation and shock life.
Additional advantages, based on development strongly influenced by the motorsport industry, include greater stability, better road handling, and accurate steering. This combined with extremely high-quality manufacturing and materials means Bilstein's will last approximately four times as long as the Original Equipment.

I bought a 2014 3.6R with 220,000 miles on it because I thought I could handle the challenge.
After getting fluids changed & coolant system sorted out, I knew I wanted to do something about the suspension, which appeared to be OEM and would bounce hitting bumps on the highway and sag when loaded up with my MTB hitch rack and camping gear.
I thought about just doing KYBs, but figured with the heavier engine and the fact I do a few larger camping trips including in MI's Upper Peninsula in the winter I would benefit from a beefier set up. On paper, these checked all the boxes, firmer than OEM but not harsh, minimal lift without having to deal with subframe spaces, and higher weight capacity springs.
I installed these myself about a month ago, and have already done several thousand miles on time, including a MTB camping trip up to the Keweenaw in the UP.
No issue, no complaints. They feel great and the car sits at about 32.5" from concrete to top of the wheel arch. I didn't measure my tired OEM suspension before, but I did measure a buddy's newer Outback at 32", which means this kit perfectly nailed the 1/2" lift.
Since I install these B6 Bilstein kit at 4 corner of my Outback 3.6 2014 I really love the car behaviour .
I roll on mix of curvy mountain road and dirt road and the driving is precise and really fun even on dirt road the car is not too stiff.

I recently bought a used ‘14 Subaru Outback that was from the northeast and was in desperate need of some new suspension. After weeks of research, I landed on RALLITEK. The install was as straight forward as it could be dealing with the amount of rust I had. I didn’t realize how bad the old suspension was until the new suspension was installed and i took my first drive! What a difference!! I went with the stock height and couldn’t be happier. I purchased this kit for my 2010 Outback as it was in desperate need of suspension replacement. I wanted struts that could handle more off roading and camping gear loaded up in the car. These are the perfect fit! I absolutely love the ride quality unloaded and loaded up it’s even better. No squat in the rear end at all! It even added a 1/2-3/4 inch lift which is great also. Super pleased with theses struts and overload springs. Highly recommend for anyone taking there Subarus off road and camping/exploring!

These are a fantastic upgrade from the stock suspension. Super easy to install with only a floor Jack and Jack stands, along with the correct sockets, wrenches, torque wrenches, etc. RalliTek installed the .5” spacers on the springs and struts prior to shipping to make the total lift 1 inch. I am 100% satisfied with RalliTek’s quality and this purchase. I will definitely use RalliTek in the future.
Picked this up as a replacement suspension for my 2013 Outback 3.6R. Straightforward install. Just make sure you have a long pipe and a friend to help pull down the rear control arms to sneak them in. Seemed to sit really high when first installed, but settled after 3-5 days and ride height is perfect. Rides a bit firmer than stock, but is so well damped that it works out to be perfect imo. Sits almost exactly 1/2 inch higher than stock so I wouldn't think the CV joint would be under any more stress than stock. Car handles a lot better, doesn't dive under braking, broken pavement and large bumps / pot holes are a breeze. Where it really shines is highway speeds. Over 50mph it soaks up everything and keeps the car composed. Haven't taken it on any trails or gravel roads yet, but I'm confident this will be a massive improvement. One thing to keep in mind is that it does not come with replacement strut bolts on the front end. With the age of these cars at this point, its a safe bet to pick up some new OEM bolts from Subaru before installing.
Love my new suspension, handling is way way better. Recommended to all Subaru out there.
Installed on my 2012 Outback Limited 3.6R., way better than oem, feels like a brand new car with this B6 kit. Would definitely recommend! It’s stiff, but can handle city potholes and light off-roading. Takes awhile to settle in height, but worth the upgrade.
The ride on the 2014 Outback has become considerably more uncomfortable, not returning the car to the original level of comfort on-road: stiff and bumpy. Maybe the springs need some mileage to loosen up some? Still hoping the Bilstein struts and shocks with the custom Rallitek springs last a very long time and will soon revert to a better behaved ride on-road.

I'm sorry your not happy with the ride quality. It does take some time for the suspension to settle which will allow things to become more compliant. This also isn't a factory replacement suspension and it is designed to provide more support and better handling so some increase in stiffness is to be expected. If you have any issues please let us know. We have a lifetime warranty on all of our components.
Does this keep factory tire size 225/60d17 or can it run a 225/65r17
Generally, a 1/2" is not enough lift to fit a larger tire, and we've only tested larger fitment tires on vehicles with 1" lift or more. That's a small increase in diameter, so it very well might work, but we haven't tested it with a 1/2" lift.
Do you make this in 0" lift for the 11 outback? Would it not be possible for me to buy these complete from you and replace the top mounts with factory subaru legacy top mounts that they'd fit my 2011 Legacy? Please say yes
We do not offer this in a 0" lift. This is a strut and spring for the Outback models and we have not designed, tested, or confirmed wether it would work on the Legacy models at this time.
Are there any other components needed with the SKU: RTEK-100467 ISBN: 1 for proper alignment and tracking. I see that it is only a 1/2” increase over stock lift but is that in the front only? Or is this a simple remove and replace product?

Subframe spacers are only needed on lifts 1.5" or taller so if you were to run this suspension with no lift spacer the subframe drop is not needed.
