Unlike other roof racks on the market, NashFab roof racks were designed for an easy one-man install! Our racks do not require complete assembly prior to installation and no additional help is needed to install on your vehicle! Side rails easily slide on and mount to roof brackets. Crossbars are then dropped in and can slide forward or backward to your desired mounting location.
The rack is well made and it looks great too. I love the configure-ability and the low profile aerodynamic design. The slanted sides allow you to mount things (in my case Maxtrax) that would normally go on top. On a recent trip I had a solar panel, Maxtrax, and for a short distance firewood mounted to the rack all without covering up the sun roof. I plan to add an awning to the mix in the future.
It’s been through some heavy rain storms and few car washes with zero leaks. There are no issues off road and I haven't a noticed any drop in fuel economy. It took a little more than the 4 week lead time. I would recommend ordering the rack 4 months before you need it but it’s well worth the wait.
Would this fit on a 2025 Forester Base model? I know it’s listed for the Wilderness, but I don’t see any design differences on the roof between the two models, and wanted to see if it’d fit my Base.

Unfortunatley, it won't, and it will need to be one made for the 2025 models due to the redesign. It's definitely something that's in the works and will be available soon!
Do the cross bars sit high enough to allow the sunroof/pano roof to open and close?
Yes they do. On some models if you get the crossbar position in the right spot they will hit when the sunroof tries to open but this is easily fixable by simply sliding the crossbar back or forward a bit to allow for clearance when the sunroof initially tips and goes to slide back. Always check clearances upon first install and opening the sun roof. Once you have done this check, tighten the screws and you are all set and will have nothing to worry about.
