An alignment is required after installation. Make note that the center of gravity will be raised after installation. You may want to consider pairing these spacers with a set of RalliTEK springs to improve handling both on and off the road!

Can your inch and a half rear spacer kit for a Subaru Crosstrek wilderness be used without a subframe drop spacer kit? What is the advantage of the subframe spacer kit?

Yes, they can be used without a subframe drop kit as long as all three of our adjustable rear arms are installed—the trailing arms, control arms, and toe arms.

The benefit of the rear subframe drop is that it allows the vehicle to be brought back into OEM alignment specifications, and it is a much more cost-effective solution compared to purchasing adjustable arms.

The downside to the subframe drop is that it lowers the rear subframe and rear differential by 1.5 inches (with our kit), resulting in a loss of ground clearance. This is where the adjustable arms become the better solution, as they allow proper alignment without lowering the rear subframe and sacrificing clearance.

That said, adjustable arms are a significantly more expensive option, and for vehicles used primarily for light-duty off-road use, they are often unnecessary and can be considered overkill.
