Our skid plate design is a simple bolt-on install that offers more coverage and far more protection than the OEM Subaru skid plates. Just like our engine and transmission skid plates, these gas tank skids provide little to no loss in ground clearance when installed. Great product easy to install and can take a hit. After install I took a trip in the wilderness outback bottomed out at about 30 MPH on the transmission plate. I felt the impact but no damage to the plat. Hit clay packed with shells and road rubble.
