Soft (Street): Ideal for daily-driven vehicles with minimal increase in NVH
Hard (Race): Designed for track-focused use; will increase NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). The hard/race insert can be used on street-driven cars, but expect increased drivetrain noise and vibration.

Improved Transmission Response
The Subaru CVTs have always had a distinct lag/delay/hesitation from a full stop/off the line. When you press on the accelerator pedal, there is a delay between the engine's acceleration and the vehicle actually beginning to move forward. As the vehicle ages, this delay gets greater and greater. By no means am I an aggressive driver or launching the vehicle to accelerate quickly. My vehicle has over 130k miles on it, and I could tell the factory mount was worn. Replacing it and adding this insert made a world of difference, and improved the response better than when the vehicle was brand new. Would definitely recommend to any Subaru owner with a CVT Transmission.
