These HDPE (High-density polyethylene) spacers install right over your strut hat. Great for adding more lift to a vehicle's original/aftermarket equipment or helping level out your fender gap.
Includes:
2 x 1/2" Spacers & hardware.
New strut mount hardware included! Class 12.9 bolts and class 8 to 10 nuts.
In comparison to aluminum spacers, our HDPE material is lightweight and not prone to additional NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness), unlike typical aluminum spacers that transfer straight to the chassis. HDPE or high-density polyurethane has a compression yield strength of 20Mpa or 2900 pounds per square inch.
2003 Baja may require slight drilling/shaving of the lift kit spacer bolt holes to fit over strut bolts. (less than a 1/8th inch)
When threading the new RalliTEK supplied hardware through the rear spacer, it may be a little tight. This is done on purpose so the job can be done alone (without the hardware falling out the bottom of the spacer). It should thread in a little bit on its own by hand, but only on the tapered side. Find that side and get it started. You can then use a pair of pliers to twist the hardware the rest of the way using leverage.
The spacers are good. Taking apart the strut assembly is a real pain to install them. I have not installed them because my strut mount was loose after re-assembly.

These spacers do increase height by 1/2"
As advertised they increase the height 1/2". Installation is fairly straight forward and not too complicated. The only problem is being able to hold the bolt whilst tightening the nut. On one of the 3 bolts needed to mount the strut hat I needed to use a 6mm stubby hex to hold the bolt while tightening the nut and It was very difficult to make this happen. Customer support stated that the spacers had nuts recessed up in 'em, nah they did not

Put these in my 05 Forester with 255k miles. Very good springs!
