A tiny rockstar of a difference maker!

I cannot overstate how much of a difference this tiny little ball makes in the performance of my 2024 Outback Wilderness, especially in sandy conditions. In my testing on very loose sandy roads, the X mode did a great job of keeping me moving but at one point when I had a single back wheel off the ground, the locker licked in and immediately moved me forward. I was amazed at what a difference it made.

An interesting side note is this thing is TINY. It's smaller than a basketball! Not that the size is a bit deal, I just found it hilarious.

Also, make SURE you get the star. tool when ordering. Having the tool makes the install so much easier than not having it. Also, just get it professionally installed. It took the experts at SoCal Supertrucks an hour to install it perfectly. Don't forget to provide the proper rear differential oil when delivering the part for installation.

Game changer must!

Wow what a game changer. The torque locker changed my Wilderness into a trail monster with the Fallen Wildpeak AT3. The ability to go anywhere I want and make it home is fantastic. The install was a pain in the rear. Buy the tool it helps. I did need to buy a new sundial housing from Subaru. The housing becomes seized in and will not break free. Not a torque locker issue more a Subaru design issue. Found several other complaints of the difficulty of install. Overall once installed it was great and the on road noise is minimal, only a slight click in parking lots and in reverse. No driving difference on road at speed. I love it and will be getting 1 for my Family vehicle a 2020 Ascent it is that good.
