Some sagging may occur for a variety of reasons (e.g., additional weighted parts mounted to hatch, parking on an uneven surface, outdoor temperatures limiting the strength of the hatch struts, etc). If this is a concern, we strongly recommend NOT purchasing this product.
The hatch does dag after opening... usually about four inches. This is an unfortunate issue. But I do love the way the ladder looks. Once I noticed the sag, it was too late to remove it, due to the 3M tape that was applied to the top. So we will have to fork out money for stronger struts. But im okay with that.

Great Ladder! Difficult to determine if it would fit but once I read through the cautions and expected gap, I found that as I tightened it up it was perfect. Really like the light weight. Wish the corners where the ladder bends around the hatchback were not sharp but rather rounded. Great fit. Excessive packaging!
Well built and easy to install. Makes getting stuff off my roof rack easier. I wish I had it for my three week trip out west car camping.

Can you open the hatchback when the ladder is installed?
Yes the hatch is still functional with the ladder installed!
Do you need a certain roof rack for this ladder to attach to? Or can you just attach the ladder to the car?
No roof rack is required to mount the ladder. It installs onto the OEM hatch.
