RalliTEK Subaru Forester suspension lift kits feature proprietary technology that greatly enhances the performance in any driving condition for the 09-13 Subaru Forester. Our dual-rate linear coil springs will provide much needed height and ground clearance, along with the ability to fit larger more aggressive off-road tires. Our lift springs are the perfect combination of off-road performance with on-road.

This Subaru lift kit will improve off-road handling and predictability while maintaining Subaru's plush on-road ride quality. As a result of installing the RalliTEK suspension lift, larger tires can be fitted for enhanced stability in inclement weather or on difficult terrains. Our lift springs are equally at home in the hills, on an overland trail, in the snow, or on the interstates. There’s nowhere your lifted Subaru Forester won’t be able to take you.

We recommend running the Overload springs for unweighted and weighted driving of up to 450 lbs. Super Overload springs should be used when permanent fixtures on the vehicle like rear tire carriers, rooftop tents, storage systems, etc. meet or exceed 450 lbs. These items should stay on the vehicle at all times.

When running the Super Overload springs we highly recommend doing the Bilstein B6 struts to get the best ride quality and drivability results.

Control, Feel, Looks and Install

Stock suspension with 130k miles was bouncing too much,
losing contact with pavement at high speeds,
felt unsafe.

For better control, I bought these and paired them with Bilstein B6's.
Definite improvement in control,
more contact with pavement,
less bounce and faster rebound.

However, the ride is definitely firmer,
a bit like sporty BMW trims,
feels just right for spirited driving.

The old suspension had a saggy rear,
especially prone to squatting when loaded.
These springs hold the load without the squat.
That's a comfort in mind when travelling with a loaded rear.

Aesthetically, the car sits just a bit higher with noticeably less sag in the back.
These subtly make the car look better because the car sits flat front to back instead of being at a slant.
Looks good from the back and from the side.

The only problem with these is the installation especially the front sets.
Because the springs are thicker,
the spring compressors are tricky to get out when compressed.
It may require a few tries to get the right position,
which can be a real hassle as it can be super dangerous and strenuous to wind the compressors in and out.
It may be worth it to buy the set with the shocks installed to save on the hassle.

Overall, a good set and satisfied (so far, about 500 miles on them)
Much better control than stock.
Bit firmer but feels sporty.
No more saggy baggy rear.
But tricky and strenuous install into the shocks.

The Best Springs for Overland Subaru!

I have a 2009 Forester XT. The stock suspension was was way too soft and saggy. I started building it into a Overland vehicle. I have owned many other vehicles like Jeeps and trucks but I wanted something smaller that got better fuel economy and I really like the power the turbo engine has pulling the hills and mountain passes. The Subaru Forester XT seemed like a solid choice. I added a rooftop tent and a hitch spare tire carrier and it became clearly apparent that the factory suspension was not up to it. I found Rallitek and went with these springs and Bilstein B6 problem solved the vehicle is extremely capable now. I added a rear locker and could not be more happy. It cruises down the freeway effortlessly getting 26 mpg and gets me to the most remote camping spots. Great option for those running a lot of weight and gear all the time.

Functional, but not ideal

I purchased these overload springs for my '09 forester about 3 years ago. I was initially very excited about the product performance, but overtime became disenchanted. These springs are so stiff that unless I was fully loaded down for a trip, driving on a dirt road made me feel like my car was rattling apart. The spring rates I had were ~320lbs in the front, and ~350 in the rear. While these springs fixed my saggy butt problem when I was loaded up, the front springs lifted the car more than the rear regardless of the load, which I didn't like aesthetically. Furthermore, the front springs both broke sometime during the three years I used them, and when I finally pulled the trigger on new suspension, I found this out while doing the replacement. Rallitek honored their warranty, and offered to replace them, but I was uninterested in running their springs again. I was also told they fixed the powder coating problem that lead to them rusting and breaking. I'm currently running b6 struts with king springs. Front rate is ~180 and rear is ~300. Much more comfortable, empty or fully loaded.

I would only recommend these to someone who is running a rooftop tent, extras on their vehicle all the time, and probably a sizable bumper. And you'll need to purchase strut spacers if you don't want the back end of your car to be lower than the front all the time.

Hello Levi,

We're sorry our springs weren't everything you hoped for. A large portion of the vibrations can be reduced by utilizing a better strut than the OEM like the Bilstein B6 struts. Based on your review it sounds like your struts may have been due for a replacement which would cause for the ride height descrepancy as our springs ride higher in the rear than the front.

Install the 1/2” Rallitek spring on my SH Forester. Absolutely love the compared to OEM spring. Pairing them with B6 struts are a great combo. Planning to invest more into Rallitek products!
