We all want more power from our Forester XT, but in order to get more power, we have to do things to the engine and tuning which puts more heat into the engine. To combat this heat, Process West has designed their Verticooler Top Mount Intercooler.

Black Powdered Coated

The Verticooler is unique in that it places the intercooler at an angle that allows air to enter and exit the intercooler more efficiently which leads to cooler temperatures. Not only is airflow improved, but due to the design Process West was able to fit a larger intercooler core to gain additional cooling. With cooler temps and additional airflow, your turbo will be more efficient and be able to make more power with less stress, and your engine will love the cooler air and will be able to make more power reliably with room to grow for more power.

Not only will the intercooler improve performance but it also looks amazing in the engine bay, no longer will you have that cheap plastic intercooler, but a proper-looking aluminum beast of an intercooler. Get rid of your factory intercooler, get the Process West and turn up the boost. Made with the highest quality materials this may very well be the last intercooler you will have to buy for your Forester XT.

Process West Verticooler Top Mount Intercoolers

The installation was good. The hood scoop doesn't fit. I still have to get a local fabricator to build the ducting to direct the hood scoop air through the intercooler. I do like the fact that the air from the hood scoop is cooling down the engine components that get brittle with the heat. I think in the long run having the hood scoop not running through the intercooler might decrease performance, but prolong the longevity of the rubber parts. Just my opinion...
