Reduce Transmission oil temperatures and extend transmission life with a PERRIN Transmission cooler Kit. Keeping the Subaru CVT transmission temperature in check is key to extending the life of the transmission. Especially when off-roading Subaru vehicles. The load on the CVT transmission over rocky, muddy, steep terrain can substantially increase the CVT’s fluid temperature. The Perrin CVT cooler is designed to withstand high fluid pressures and effectively reduce transmission fluid temperatures with little to no pressure loss.

This product replaces the OEM CVT cooler on Subaru models that come with a transmission cooler from the factory. Will not work on models without a CVT cooler. Check applications before purchase.

Cooling 

The PERRIN transmission oil cooler kit will keep your CVT oil temperatures in control to maximize the life of your transmission and CVT oil. Under heavy use, CVT temps will stay 15-20 degrees cooler than with the OEM cooler. 

Larger Core

This core is 4 times larger than the factory oil cooler. With a much larger coolant capacity, This cooler drastically helps with cooling while towing and off-road driving with low airflow over the core.

Bar and Plate Core

A high-efficiency PERRIN bar and plate style oil cooler core is utilized on the CVT cooler. This bar and plate design is much stronger and withstands damage from normal road debris more efficiently than tube and fin type cores.

Mounting Brackets

The PERRIN transmission oil cooler comes with custom brackets that allows the oil cooler to mount easily to the front of the Subaru. Made with 304 stainless to ensure the brackets last the life of the car.

Worth it

I have only had the new cooler for a few days, but I can already tell that it is working. Driving around in 70-80 degree weather, my transmission is barely breaking 160 degrees. Can't wait to test it soon on a mountain.

It sure will! However, this kit is universal and will take minor fabrication for installation on your vehicle.

Yes it should work on the Crosstrek Wilderness. There might be some modifications to the lines, and bracket to get everything to work.

Will this void factory drivetrain warranty?

Warranty questions are tricky when it comes to aftermarket parts. The law is written as such when it comes to product warranty specifically around automobiles, "The failure or resulting warranty part under claim must be shown to have failed directly because of said aftermarket part or work previously performed" It is the responsibility of the manufacture or dealer as a representative of the manufacture to prove beyond a reasonable doubt the component or part failed because of aftermarket part."

Many dealers have brood discretion when it comes to warranty and coverage best to talk to your preferred service department.
