The B6’s are the ideal gas-pressure shock absorber for lifted Subaru Forester owners who refuse to compromise on performance or comfort. Bilstein B6 front car struts feature a monotube design that provides consistent fade-free performance.
Bilstein B6 struts utilize a unique, velocity-sensitive, digressive piston that reacts to changing road conditions to provide consistent fade-free performance. When we engineered our proprietary dual-rate linear coil springs, we needed shocks and struts that could handle the extreme nature of off-roading and compliment our spring rates for on-road comfort. Bilstein B6 struts - 2016 Forester XT stock
I maintained the original springs and changed all 4 struts at about 78K miles. as expected, new struts make the car ride much quieter, less jittery, and improve cornering. The ride height did seem to increase a tad bit, but I didn't measure before and after. Bumps in the road are soaked up nicely but can still be appreciated although they don't seem to reach the interior compartment.
Separately, customer service was fantastic, even after a few months of initial purchase when it came to replacing one strut.
