Bilstein B6 Shocks and Struts
Developed for a variety of applications, including sports cars, sedans, coupes, trucks, and SUVs, Bilstein performance shock absorbers and struts have been designed to provide improved handling and ride control without sacrificing comfort. Fade-free performance is achieved by using high gas pressure, monotube design with a large diameter shock body.
Bilstein's patented design allows the excessive heat from the oil to transfer to the outer surface of the shock body and dissipate more efficiently. The dividing piston also permits the oil to expand as heat builds, preventing aeration (foaming) and viscosity loss. This allows the shock to maintain full damping characteristics as temperatures rise.
The tube of a Bilstein gas pressure shock or strut is fabricated using a special extrusion method. This process achieves an extremely tight peak-to-valley tolerance and maintains consistent wall thickness. Bilstein's seamless monotube design provides superior tube strength while maximizing heat dissipation and shock life.
Additional advantages, based on development strongly influenced by the motorsport industry, include greater stability, better road handling, and accurate steering. This combined with extremely high-quality manufacturing and materials means Bilstein's will last approximately four times as long as the Original Equipment.

We have a 2019 Subaru Outback that was squatting under the load of our Lectric bikes and deployable solar panels loaded in it on travel days....(we're full-time RVers and my wife follows in the Subaru on travel days). I wanted something to help the car hold the heavy load and not squat so badly. I landed on these coil-over shocks and added the .5" lift spacers to them also. WOW! I was not expecting the result! We ordered a 1.75" lift but it ended up lifting the car 3"! We measured before and after installation! Car now holds load GREAT and only squats down about .5" under full load. I was worried it might ride like a truck but NOPE it handles better than stock. I will say that you'll definitely feel the smaller bumps a bit more but the over all planted feel far outweighs the slightly rougher ride. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for more load support and a MUCH sportier ride without loosing much comfort! Oh, one more thing, when hitting quick bumps you'll most likely hear a bit of a banging noise because these have such a fast rebound....took a little getting used to but now I think it's kinda cool and makes me wanna go rally racing! Great performance upgrade for overloaded outback
We have a roof box and bikerack and when we were loaded up with the kids it was sagging pretty bad. I wasn't looking for a lift but for something to handle the weight better. The B6 struts and 1/4" lift springs are much better at supporting the load. Sits at a more stock ride height when fully loaded. When not loaded it sits maybe a 1/2" higher than it did before. I like the ride quality improvement – feels more supported in cornering and but not too bumpy. You do feel some of the smaller bumps more but nothing that bothers us. Thumbs up.

200 mile on road review
Should have come from Subaru with this suspension. Slightly firmer ride. Ride height looks great with stock tires. Handling feels sportier fun to drive. Rear end does not sag with 400lbs of weight. I did not give 5 stars because I have not done any off road travel. Very satisfied with RalliTek kit.
