You absolutely feel the small bumps more in your ride and if you opt for the sway bar disconnects, they will be heard with no radio. Nonetheless, it’s a well put together kit that provides some more confidence on the beaten paths.
Let me just say, the 2” inch lift system they offer is all you need to get the look, comfort and clearance. From a grocery getter to tearing up the trails. I also went ahead pulled the trigger on their CVT Transmission Mount Insert Bushing and Carrier Bearing Drop Kit. The total package for “stock feeling” and “rugged looks” Thanks RalliTek for an awesome product!
This lift is awesome! Extremely enhances off road capability! Highly recommend adding the Rallitek carrier bearing drop kit to this package as well!
I love this lift kit but it has one major design flaw. The rear spacers have holes in the top of them and so you have to find some way to seal a huge hole directly into the cargo area of the car. Not sure why they did not leave it solid like the ones in the pictures for the directions. Other than this it rides awesome, removes the body roll factory springs have, and is easy to install in an afternoon with the proper tools!
This is my second Subaru to run RalliTek springs and lift and I would recommend it to anyone with a Subaru. RalliTek knows their stuff, this is probably the best company to make Subaru lifts. The springs make a world of difference.
2” lift kit for 2025 Subi Outback Wilderness is awesome. Instructions were easy to read and understand. Made my ride a little bit more ready for some off road. Definitely recommend this kit and easy to install if you have experience with suspension components. Will have RalliTek on all my Subaru rides from now on.
The 2” suspension lift kit was just what we needed for our overland build. We installed the kit ourselves took it to have it aligned the next day and they didn’t have to touch anything after the installationn.
Very noisy
Hello Eric,
Our lift kit should not be noisy. We test all of the part we develop and it does not make noise. If your vehicle is making noise there is something going on with the way it was installed.
Car actually rides better. Lift seems to be great quality. My only qualm is that it is a little noisy. I can hear the suspension actuating on roads that are not totally smooth.
It is not normal for the suspension to be noisy. The most common issues we see that cause noise are improper adjustment of the swaybar endlinks, improper greasing of the joints on the endlinks, or improper spring isolator position on the front springs. All of these things will cause noise so make sure final swaybar endlink lengths are set with the vehicle weight on the suspension and there is no preload, make sure all greasable joints are greased, and check the spring isolator position. RalliTEK has great customer service people. Definitely don’t use the tire size look up guide as gospel. Anything on the “aggressive” side will take serious modifications if you have an OBW.
Will this kit void any part of the factory warranty?
Any modifications added to the vehicle will affect the warranty on the modified components but the modified components only so the rest of the vehicle would still be covered.
This a complete install is there anything else I might need? Also have yall had any issues with CVT shuttering?
Yes everything you need is in this kit. The "shudder" issue is not the CVT and we have identified it to be an issue with the front CV axles. Most do not have a shudder issue with this kit and we did not run into the shudder issue on our company Outback Wilderness with this kit and only ran into the issue once we installed the 3" Lift Suspension Kit. It's hard to say if you will have the issue as it's really hit or miss. We've had people report the issue on a brand new OEM height vehicle, on 1" lift vehicles, and pretty much every other height as well. We've done thorough research, testing, and have concluded it's a minor drivability issue and not an issue with the vehicle as far as reliability or longevity of parts. If you run into this issue we reccomend looking at our transmission mount insert bushing to help dampen the vibrations felt as a driver. There is no true way to fix it and it's just a minor downside to lifting a vehicle. If this is of concern to you and you do not want this to happen on your vehicle we would reccomend not lifting the vehicle as these are the best chances you have at your vehicle not doing this "shudder".
